Cres is a big brother figure to Alice. Since Alice has no siblings (as of now) the only pony she sees as a sibling is Cres. Although Cres is sick himself, he will still take care of Alice because he loves her so. No matter what he'll always take care of her and make sure that she is okay, and is healthy.
